OTTOPUR OP 920 - 400ml
OTTOPUR OP 920 - 400ml
OTTOPUR OP 920 is a professional-grade, 2-component PU adapter foam engineered for extreme speed and uncompromising strength. Unlike standard foams, this advanced 2K system cures rapidly via a chemical reaction between its components, completely independent of ambient air moisture.
Designed for the fast-paced demands of the Irish trade market, it forms a skin in just 6 minutes and can be cut in approximately 9 minutes. Braces can be safely removed in 30 minutes, drastically reducing downtime on-site while delivering exceptional acoustic and thermal insulation.
👷♂️ The Master Tradesman's Verdict
"When you're hanging multiple heavy door frames on a site, waiting for standard 1K foam to cure costs you serious money. This 2-part Otto-Chemie foam is a beast. You twist the base, shake it until it rattles, and shoot it. It comes out light green so you know you've mixed it right. You can pull your braces off in half an hour and move straight onto the next job."
Pro Tip (CRITICAL): The 5-minute pot life is absolute! Do not activate the can until your frame is fully wedged, braced, and you are 100% ready to apply. Once activated, you must empty the can within 5 minutes. If left inside the aerosol can, the rapid chemical reaction will cause the can to heat up and potentially burst.
Primary Applications
- Mounting door & window frames (wood, steel, plastic; max joint width 30mm)
- Rapid installation of wooden stairs
- Mounting acrylic & steel shower trays/basins
- Joining well and shaft rings (impermeable to water if left uncut)
- Bonding polystyrene rigid foam (perimeter insulation to DIN 4108-2)
Key Features & Trade Compliance
- Exceptional Insulation: Delivers 60 dB joint sound reduction (EN ISO 717-1) and 0.026 W/mK thermal conductivity (DIN 52612).
- High Capacity Yield: Produces 10 to 12 litres (approx. 10 linear metres) of free-foamed volume per 400ml can. Sufficient for approx 4m² of insulation board bonding.
- Eco & Air Quality: Rated EMICODE® EC 1 Plus (Very low emission) and French VOC-emission class A+.
- Fire Safety: Classified as normal inflammable building material (B2) in accordance with DIN 4102-1.
Mandatory 2K Activation Guide
⚠️ Read Before Use:
- Turn the inside part of the can's bottom base exactly 4 full turns (360°) to the right until it stops.
- Shake the can vigorously 20-30 times. Listen for a slight rattle inside to confirm activation.
- Wait exactly 30 seconds for the chemical reaction to begin.
- Attach the angle adapter and release a small amount of foam. It MUST be light green. If not, repeat steps 1 & 2.
- Apply immediately. The can must be completely emptied within 5 minutes.

Handling & Safety
Trade Safety Profile: Extremely flammable aerosol. Contains diisocyanates; adequate training is required prior to professional use. Do not use in poorly ventilated areas without appropriate respiratory protection (A1 filter). Always wear safety glasses and butyl rubber protective gloves (thickness >0.4mm). Store upright in a cool environment and protect from sunlight and temperatures exceeding 50°C. Cured foam should be protected against UV exposure.
