The OTTOFLEX® Sealing and Decoupling Strip is a heavy-duty, special elastomer tape fully fabric-reinforced on both sides. Engineered for critical substrates, it provides an unbeatable combination of crack bridging, decoupling, and highly reliable waterproof composite sealing.
Designed for rapid commercial installation, this membrane allows for immediate further processing with zero waiting time. It is impermeable to water, offers excellent water vapour retarding properties, and is completely resistant to aging and alkali degradation.

Pro Tip: Bed this strip using a C2 thin-bed mortar and a 4x4mm serrated trowel. Smooth it diagonally to push out air bubbles. You must overlap the joints by exactly 5cm. To guarantee the waterproofing, stick those overlaps, corners, and pipe ducts fully with OTTOCOLL® M 500 or M 595. Substrate moisture limits are strict: max 2.0% for cement screeds and 0.5% for anhydrite.
Primary Applications
- Wet Rooms & Bathrooms: Waterproof composite sealing under ceramic and natural stone (thin-bed method).
- Commercial/Industrial: Ideal for edge areas of swimming pools, saunas, steam baths, and foodstuff facilities (breweries, dairies).
- Exterior Use: Flexible sealing on balconies, terraces, and arcades (requires a gradient of ≥1.5% and must not be above used rooms).

- Water Action Categories: Complies with W0-I, W1-I, W2-I, and W3-I (tear class R1-I) in accordance with DIN 18534.
- Commercial Certifications: Meets moisture resistance classes A and C (abP), A0 and B0 (ZDB), and stress categories W1-W6 (ÖNORM B 3407).
- Alkali & Fire Resistance: Alkali-resistant according to ETAG 022 and AbP test specifications. Building material class B2 "normally inflammable" (DIN 4102-1).
- Eco & Air Quality: EMICODE® EC 1 Plus (Very low emission) and French VOC-emission class A+.
