OTTOFLEX® Primer
OTTOFLEX® Primer
OTTOFLEX® Primer is a premium, solvent-free synthetic resin dispersion based on styrene-butadiene. Engineered specifically for professional trades, it acts as a high-performance, adhesion-enhancing primer for absorbent and heavily absorbent substrates.
Designed for seamless compatibility with OTTOFLEX® Protective Coating, this milky blue primer ensures an optimal, load-bearing surface for liquid processable sealings in both indoor and outdoor tiling projects.
👷♂️ The Master Tiler's Verdict
"If you're tanking a wet room over thirsty substrates like gypsum, screed, or cellular concrete, you cannot skip the primer phase. This Otto-Chemie dispersion sinks deep, equalizes the suction, and creates the perfect bond for your liquid membrane. It goes on milky blue, so you can easily see where you've been."
Pro Tip: Stir it thoroughly before use and apply directly with a high-quality brush. Give it roughly 2 hours (at 20°C) to dry before hitting it with the liquid rubber. Crucial handling note: Store and transport absolutely frost-free, keep it out of direct sunlight, and never decant it into aluminum or copper containers!

Preparation & Safety Profile
Ensure all substrates are firm, load-bearing, flat, and entirely free of oil, grease, dust, or separating layers prior to application. Remove loose residues by brushing and suctioning.
Safety Handling: Non-hazardous formulation. Respiratory protection is not required. However, standard trade precautions apply: avoid eye/skin contact. Use safety glasses and nitrile rubber gloves (thickness >0.4mm, breakthrough 10-30 min). Contains 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one; may produce an allergic reaction.
